The ideal candidate will be a fundraising expert with proven, successful efforts in multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, direct-asks, grants, special events and corporate sponsorships. The role will include creating and implementing an overall development plan and working with the national team as well as the branch-level fundraisers to execute a successful plan and continually refine funding models and goals across the organization.
LOCATION:
Although the national headquarters for Random Acts of Flowers is located in Knoxville, TN, the National Director of Development is not required to relocate and will be able to work remotely.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year college degree and demonstrated work experience in the areas of fundraising, nonprofits, executive management or related fields.
- Minimum of five (5) years fundraising experience with proven success of reaching goals of over $100,000 per event or initiative.
- Strong management and leadership skills and effective team-building abilities.
- Superior organizational and communication skills (written & oral); detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently yet be an integral part of the RAF team while also being able to interact with the board of directors, volunteers and community supporters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish annual fundraising goals which support the budget requirements of RAF and work with the CEO to develop an annual fundraising plan with achievable goals and objectives.
- Fundraise for National Operations and Growth through individual asks, corporate partnerships, foundations, grants, etc.
- Develop and Implement the National Strategy for fundraising to be adopted by all RAF branches
- Coach, train, and mentor RAF branch Executive Directors
